I am a landscape painter whose work focuses on the tranquil rivers, dense native bush, and rugged coastal headlands of New Zealand. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, I seek to capture the quiet poetry of these environments—the soft light filtering through native trees, the shifting reflections on still water, and the weathered strength of coastal rock forms shaped by wind and tide.

My practice is rooted in direct observation and a deep connection to place. I spend time walking the bush tracks, sitting by riverbanks, and exploring remote headlands, allowing the atmosphere, colour, and mood of each location to settle before translating those experiences onto canvas. Through layered brushwork and careful attention to light and texture, I aim to convey not only the physical presence of the landscape but also the sense of stillness and belonging it evokes.
